Midwifery

Indigo Dragon uses the services of San Diego Midwife – a comprehensive midwifery practice. They provide a wide range of services for both home and hospital birth mothers across San Diego County. They specialize in VBACs (vaginal birth after cesarean), home births and water births. San Diego Midwife also provides a wide range of other services including child birth classes, lactation coaching and support services, herbal/homeopathic counseling, in-home postpartum and newborn care, doula and monitrice services and much, much more. San Diego Midwife was founded by La Shel Montgomery and Jamin Sylvada in September 2005. Jamin and La Shel have delivered over 2000 babies in a variety of settings including busy hospitals, birth centers and private homes. Their shared philosophies and energy combined with their own unique abilities and vast experience in all aspects of birth makes San Diego Midwife perfect for anyone considering hiring a midwife, doula or monitrice to guide, assist and nurture them through pregnancy and birth.

I had the most relaxing experience possible at Indigo Dragon. Charlene Goodman was my therapist and she is so loving and kind, not to mention a very skillful practitioner. I saw Charlene about a week before a very stressful event and after her treatment, all the stress was released and didn’t return! Charlene worked with me to pinpoint the areas that held the most tension and worked through each one. She devoted special attention to spots she was able to pinpoint that needed more work. I met Karleigh at Indigo Dragon when I needed body work/massage after an intense car accident. When she introduced herself, her energy was so bright and welcoming that I immediately knew I was in the right place. Throughout my recovery, my body always felt totally replenished after a session. This gorgeous sanctuary has provided me with the best support I have ever received. I have worked with Amy, Ashley, and Jen on numerous occasions and their work has helped me heal.
