“My work is about helping people understand what their bodies are trying to tell them, uncover the patterns beneath their symptoms, and create a path toward greater health and resilience.”

What is your field of treatment?I am a Licensed Acupuncturist, Certified Functional Medicine Specialist, author, and women’s health advocate with more than 25 years of clinical experience. My work blends the wisdom of Chinese medicine with functional medicine to help uncover the deeper patterns contributing to symptoms and imbalance.

Over the course of my career, I have worked with a wide range of patients and conditions, from women navigating hormonal change and menopause to athletes, individuals in addiction recovery, and children with special needs. My clinical background also includes working with professional athletes during preseason training and completing an advanced acupuncture internship in Beijing.

I am also the author of The Space In-Between: Your Menopause Guidebook, created to give women a more integrative, informed, and compassionate understanding of the menopause transition.

Describe your personal approach. Simply?I begin by listening. Symptoms rarely exist in isolation, so I look at the whole picture—health history, hormones, nutrition, stress, sleep, injuries, life events, emotional health, and the patterns your body has developed over time.

Using Chinese medicine and functional medicine together allows me to look beyond the symptom itself and ask a more important question: Why is this happening?

Each treatment plan is individualized and may include acupuncture, functional laboratory testing, nutrition, supplements, lifestyle strategies, and practical tools you can use between appointments. My goal is not simply to help you feel better in the moment, but to help you better understand your body and participate actively in your long-term health.

What led to you founding Indigo Dragon?Indigo Dragon began more than two decades ago when my co-founder, Ashley, and I were looking for a place to practice acupuncture. The moment I walked through the gate of what would become Indigo Dragon, I knew we had found something special.

What began as an acupuncture practice grew organically into a multidisciplinary center for health and wellbeing. Today, Indigo Dragon brings together highly skilled practitioners across a wide range of healing disciplines, creating a collaborative environment where people can receive truly integrative care.

For me, Indigo Dragon has always been more than a clinic. It is a place where people can slow down, feel heard, reconnect with their bodies, and find support through every stage of life.
